Loved our stay, we would definitely return. Staff are friendly, location is nice, everything is very clean. A good choice of excellent food for meals...
Superior place, you know. The garden was a plus. We had a superior double room, and we greatly enjoyed it. Lovely restaurant.
The bed was a bit small.
Awesome place with helpful hotel staff. We liked the bed, which was comfortable. Their garden was delightful too.
This hotel was on a noisy street.
The receptionist was extremely helpful unfortunately I only used the room so I have nothing to add regards the resturant facilities
Beautiful hotel in pretty surroundings. The staff is very welcoming and breakfast was great.
You never stay in the rooms shown on the website! This is very misleading!!! Bar prices very expensive!
I enjoyed the ambience of the hotel, the friendly staff and the room was very nice.
The dinner was very expensive for what was in it and too many strange items meaning if you wanted vegetables, potatoes you had to pay even more.
Beautifull grounds, lovely old house and clean and comfortable room. The food was delicious. Would definatly stay again.
Lovely venue and location. Excellent, comfortable, quiet room.
Only down side was that breakfast wasn't included in the price. We paid £80 for room only, which I think is fairly pricey for a hotel on the outskirts of the city. If the price had included breakfast it would have been good value at an excellent hotel and would have made our stay perfect. As it was, we made alternative arrangements for breakfast.
Beautiful hotel - lovely location-friendly and helpful staff- great food-very well appointed room
the plastic mattress cover
We went to celebrate my 60th Birthday. We had been for meals before but never to stay. We had an enjoyable weekend with some good company and excellent food. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Well done Whitley Hall.
We didn't enjoy guest making a noise and swearing outside the front of the hotel, which happened to be directly under our bedroom window. They were from the wedding which had taken place at Whitley Hall in the afternoon. We had to wait for staff to make up twin beds. It had only be made up for a single person. Hence there was only one set of toiletries in the bathroom.
Very pleasant yet professional staff who were genuinely concerned for the well-being of guests and formed an effective team, while each brought their own individualism into the mix. The ambience of comfortable armchairs and real fires in the public areas in a lovely 17th century building and the excellent food in the restaurant and at breakfast.
Beautiful property and grounds. Rooms are decorated in a lovely country house style and very comfortable with tea making facilities. Bedding and bed of good quality linens and towels. Very comfortable and clean, but noisy on the night that we stayed.
A wedding party was in progress and had booked up most of the rooms. The people upstairs had a noisy kid running around and because the property is very old, the floorboards were very noisy and you could hear the upstairs occupants walking around.
Pleasant and cosy and close to Grenoside our previous home village.
